Freedman attends Chigago conference for disability attorneys

Jeffrey Freedman, senior partner, Jeffrey Freedman Attorneys at Law, recently attended the 43rd Annual National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives Conference (NOSSCR) in Chicago. Top Social Security attorneys from around the country heard presentations from Glenn Sklar, Deputy Commissioner, Office of Disability Adjudication (ODAR); Kathryn Olson, a staff member on the Social Security subcommittee of the U.S. House of Representatives’ Ways and Means Committee; and Nancy Shor, executive director of NOSSCR.

Freedman also attended workshops and seminars on new techniques for handling claims; and on the diseases many SSD clients deal with such as cancer, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, mental illness, Multiple Schlerosis, and spine disorders.

“I have been attending these conferences for years and every year I find there’s a significant amount of new information out there regarding all of the challenges my clients are facing,” Freedman said. “This year, with the addition of the public officials Mr. Sklar and Ms. Olson, the experience was particularly enlightening.”
