Freedman speaks to ECBA on marketing and ethics

Posted: August 03, 2011

Buffalo, NY - Jeffrey Freedman, senior partner, Jeffrey Freedman Attorneys at Law, recently spoke on marketing, ethics regulations and client services at a seminar sponsored by the Erie County Bar Association. The program, held Friday, July 22, 2011, was attended by attorneys from across Western New York.

“Last week marked the 34th anniversary of the Supreme Court case Bates and O’Steen vs. the State Bar Association of Arizona, prior to which advertising by professionals was prohibited in all 50 states,” Freedman said. “Today, advertising is a critical piece of any attorney’s business plan and it’s essential for attorneys to know the ethical parameters for marketing so they are in compliance with Bar Association standards.”

As one of the first attorneys in Western New York to begin advertising, Freedman has many years of experience in developing effective, ethical campaigns. At the seminar he also shared tips on providing the best possible services to clients.
